Melovis Valley. It was probably one of Foxgloves favorite places to go. Being as wild as she was by nature, she couldn’t stay in one place too long. The only one who ever seem to understand that was Emrin, her dragon. But, of course, he would always know her better than anyone else, even her parents.
It wasn’t a sad fact, simply the truth between many riders and their dragons. They had a bond that nearly nothing could or ever would break. As much as she should have, she didn’t spend as much time at the Dragon’s Keep as others would desire. But, she would be there if she was needed. She had her ways on knowing when her presence was called for. It was just her way and always would be. he was a fickle creature, though quite proud.
The wind passed over both her body and that of Emrin as they glided over the valley, circling around lazily before the young women shifted in her saddle, the smallest signal given to the dragon that she was dismounting, mid-flight. Without a word, the Fairie slipped from her seat dropping into a freefall. Most would think her crazy, if they didn’t know who or what she was. But, after a few swift moments, butterfly right wings unfolded from her back, catching the wind and slowing her body. Finally, her feet touched the soft grass and flowers of the meadow, hers folding back out of sight, a small smile on her tanned face.
She simply loved the feel of this Valley, something none could see in just is beauty. It was a valley of wind and of songs. It was peaceful, for her at least. Foxglove lifted her gaze, peering up at the sky, watching Emrin’s form circle once more before disappearing from view, away from the valley. He’d be close by, he never went far from her.
Lowering her gave once more, she began a slow decent down the hill, humming quietly to herself as she went, wavy locks ruffled by a passing breeze, the sounds of a near by stream, birds and other animals mixing with her near silent song as she went.
It was a calm day, the sky a bright blue, large white clouds drifting by. It was nice and there didn’t seem to be a soul in sight Well, from what she could see. A single, large tree spring out at the bottom of the hill, providing quite a bit of shade and that was where she perched herself, settling down in the grass and resting her back against the tree trunk, eyes closed as she continued to hum, resting her bow in her lap.
It was one of the few times she relaxed, considering how frustrating the Fall Court could be... That, and she felt like practicing her archery later on.

The skies breeze that day had been a glorious one for one who wanted to fly amongst the heavens. Hi above the trees and the grassy open plains, a blue figure was seen flying high, its wings spread out to catch the drafts. If it hadn't been for the fact the beast was darker blue that the sky, it would of blended well with the backdrop above it. As was it stuck out like a blue thorn in the rich skyline. A whoosh of wings and it had flown over the lonely tree. A glimpse of the girl under it was visible to the creatures eye and it gave a grin.
Azlynn...I see a familiar face below....., the voice of a female stated in his mind. Of course the being could speak out loud, but at the altitude and speed they were going it was pointless to say physical words. The she dragon's voice, however, carried like ripples in a brook to Azlynn's mind. His pointed ears twitched as he stared with hawk like eyes himself down to the area below, and grinned when he could tell the figures looks. He gave a sigh and smirked.
Put me down near by Shamara.....I'd like to say hello...., he mused back to her, his deep but earthy like voice caressing her mind.
As you wish my rider..., she mused back to him with a chuckle. Their travels from the temple and home had taken them many places so far. However, none of those paths did he ever always believe he'd cross with Foxgloves. Yet somehow so often as it was, their paths usually met quite often, Shamara sailed down more and more until she landed on the soft earth with a huge thud due to her size and weight. Quickly he slid off of her to the ground and began to run towards the tree. Shamara, however, took flight again to see if she could muse herself with finding Foxgloves dragon mate. Azlynn's bow bounced up and down as he ran to meet Foxglove at the tree. Once he was there he breathed a deep breath and gave her a smile.
"Hello, Foxie." he said with a elvish smirk. "I see our paths cross once again it seems! How are you?"

Relaxed in calm, Foxglove stayed perfectly still, enjoying the warm spring breath and scents of fresh, dew covered high grass and flowers. The brightness of the day was disturbed only for a second as a large shadow crossed the valley. Hazel eyes slipped open, body tensing for a moment as she searched for the silent interruption. That is, until it was no longer silent.
The auburn haired Fairie sat up, away from the trees as the loud thud reached her ears, seeing a familiar dragon landing several yards away and she couldn't help but smile when the rider of said dragon dismounted, pushing herself to her feet, leaning her bow against the trunk of the tree.
Looking back on it, she had crossed paths with the Elf Prince several times, though she'd never actually expected to see so much of him. Sure, she knew several other riders, but Azlynn was a bit different. Honestly, she really couldn’t say why at this point.
Foxglove watched him approach, bounding so easily across the plain, the smile on her face only widened as she waved towards him, staying beneath the shade of the tree till he got closer, greeting her with that ever present smirk that made her want to roll her eyes every time.
”Az, it’s good to see you,” she greeted, reaching up, pushing her wavy locks behind hr ear with one hand, keeping a few stray strands behind her ears, cocking her head slightly. Their paths crossed again? Yes, it seemed so. Not that she would complain. He was good company, most days. ”Indeed, it seems that way. I’ve been well, thank you for asking. And yourself? Keeping out of trouble, I hope?”
Of course, she was teasing him, as she often did. They may not have known each other long and he may have been a Prince, but that didn’t stop Foxglove from being herself around him and treating him the same way she did anyone else.
They were both riders, and that’s all she really applied herself as. She never really spoke of her own nobility, never really a fan of titles, which would explain everyone she knew know her by the name her dragon gave her and not the one that her parents gave her. Whether they liked it or not...
”What are you doing out here?”
[/b] This was really the last place she thought she’d encounter anyone really. Emrin wouldn’t even come back for her till she called, knowing he’d probably found his own place to rest.[/size][/justify][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Indeed, I am fine. And me, trouble hardly..." he stated with a smirk.
"Hardly indeed....," Shamara stated wryly out loud. Unlike many lore, dragons could speak out loud as well as mentally. Their parrot like mimic chords aloud them to speak fluent of any language. Dragons have an excellent memory for words. Azlynn gave her a side long look, like "shouldn't you be going and finding Fosie's dragon somewhere" sort of look. All she did was smile back at him with a toothy grin.
"Well I like to travel you know, see the world and that." he stated with a smile. "This is one of the many places I come. Honestly though, I was on my way home, to visit my father and mother. I haven't seen them is so long I figured I needed a chance to go back to my roots, spend a few days out there. Shamara and I thought it would be a great way to spend some quality quiet time together."
Seeing Foxglove was a wonderful thing in his mind. She always seemed like quite a nice Fae every time they met up. This time was no exception. He gestured for both of them to go sit down together. He wanted to take some time to rest from riding on Shamara's back. Not always was it easy on ones bum or legs to ride a dragons back for so long. Even if she didn't sit back down he did. Azlynn rested his back against the tree letting his long elvish hair fall over his shoulders.
"What about you though, what brings you out to such a quiet lovely place?" he inquired with a gesture of his right hand. Shamara went and laid under the cool shad of the tree near by, enjoying the feeling of the grass under her belly.

That elvish smirk remained as he denied the possibility of trouble. Foxglove quirked her brow in response, her expression of amusement and pure disbelief before the female dragon voiced her own thoughts, earning a short burst of laughter from the Fairie. She patted Azlynn’s shoulder a the sounded quieted, a grin on her sun kissed face. ”You’re partner knows you well, you can not deny that,”
[/b] she stated, arms falling back to her sides as she glanced over at the blue creature. Shamara was a beautiful dragon, she could admit that. But, of course, riders would always be biased. To her, Emrin shone brighter than the sun itself. The Fae smiled at his reasoning, nodding her head slightly when he mentioned going back to his “roots”. There were times when Foxglove wished the same but those times were few and far between. When she thought of home, she remembered the reason why she and her parents always seemed to be at odd with each other. ”A trip home then? Sounds very nice.”[/b] She smiled her gaze on the tall male before her once again. Foxglove was of decent stature for a women, especially a Fairie but the Elf was still quite a bit taller than she, forcing her to tilt her head back slightly to meet his eyes. Foxglove accepted Azlynn’s invitation to sit. She sat in the grass at his side, the wide trunk of the tree accommodating the both, her arm brushing his slightly. She made herself comfortable, one leg stretch out, the other bent at the knee with his arm draped lazily across it, a long blade of grass rolling between her fingers. She glanced at him from the corner of her eyes before looking forward once more. ”I myself come to this valley often. I have a lot of memories here and it has always brought me peace when things weigh heavy on my mind and heart.”[/b] She was completely honest with him. Fox hadn’t just come out there for a picnic. Suddenly, the sound of beating wings reached her sensitive ears, a shadow flying over the valley, lowering towards the ground on the grassy hills. Emrin landed with a gentle thud, greeting the female dragon and his rider as stood tall before trotting towards the female dragon. Just as his rider had become fond of Azlynn, so had Emrin become fond of the Elf’s dragon. ”Hello Shamara~!”[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/blockquote]

"Hello Emrin." Shamara thrummed back to the other dragon. Her tail swished back and forth making the grass below her bend and flatten. Her blue orbs gazed as him warmly. "How be your day?"
Azlynn glanced his gaze to the cream colored and dark green marked dragon that was Foxgloves dragon mate for a brief moment and waved a hello to the dragon before returning his gaze to the rider next to him. He let the smile from his face fade a bit as Foxglove said what she did. Something was on her mind, troubling her. Elves were strongly empathic to others. Fae were known for the high emotions. Where as elves were more reserved. Well aside from the Dominicari cousins. many of them were angry emotional creatures if he ever met one. However, a treaty amongst them keeps them from having full on out war between each other. He had too know though what was on this Fae's mind.
"What troubles you my friend?" he inquired. Of course it really was none of his business what sort of problems a Fae hand but still a part of him cared enough to at least ask what was wrong. "I too come here to clear my mind before going home. This place does hold many memories, including but not limited to some of the largest festivals ever seen in all the kingdoms of the realm. I have seen this and many other places growing up when my father traveled and I was able to go with him. Now I come by dragon."

Emrin’s large form settling down in the grass, cream scales bathed in sunlight while the other dragon favored the shade. His face was sharp but his bright eyes reflected his calm joy as he relaxed, wings folded into his body and tail curled near his hind legs. ”My day is well. I always enjoy the fresh spring air,” he spoke, shifting till he felt her was very comfortably settled. ”And yours?”
[/b] Foxglove watched the two dragons exchanging pleasantries for a moment before slouching slightly, back sliding down the bark of the tree a bit, her shoulders lax and her position void of tension. She was comfortable, which was both a good and rare thing. There were few Foxglove could be so off-guard around. She socialized with very few riders and even less of her own kind, if she could avoid it. So, finding herself sitting beneath a tree, enjoying the calm weather and peace with Azlynn was very pleasant, a nice change of pace. What troubled her? Many things but she didn’t feel if it would be right to dump her troubles on him. So, she simply passes a smile, shrugging her shoulders halfheartedly. ”Nothing you need worry about,”[/b] she spoke carefully before leaning she had back against the trunk of the tree, letting her eyes slipped closed, listening to each word her shared with her. ”I’ve never attended any festivals here. I bet they are wonderful.”[/b] She smiled again at the thought. Every year, Foxglove attended one festival, back home in the Fall Kingdom. The celebration of their season’s turn to change the world, the awakening of the King and Queen of fall... It was a wonderful time but Foxglove never got to enjoy it much as other Fairies. She always had a role to play along side her parents and the rest of the Fall Court. ”My parents have never set foot outside our realm...”[/b][/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]

"My day is fair Emrin," she spoke serenely. "A good day to be out and in such nice weather that is for sure. I can't wait to see Ishen'dar again. It's been so long since the last visit there. I miss the trees and the mountains. Its a beautiful city."
The dragon had closed her eyes and let the thoughts waver into her mind before opening them again to look at Emrin. She tilted her head to the side and looked at him with her shining blue eyes. With a grin she nuzzled the dragon finally. Stretching her long neck over to greet his. Being a dragon, bot where warm and not cold like most would think a reptilian would be. She rubbed against his neck and then gave his check a lick. Pulling away quickly she giggled to herself. The look she could tell the dragon was giving back to her was probably priceless to say the least.
On the other hand Azlynn was still making quite conversation with Fox. He gave her a curious look. One that only an elf could deliver it seemed. She had never attended a festival in the valley here. What a shame. She really should, they were always wonderful and magical. He then leaned his head back against the tree before he spoke to her.
"Well if you are sure." he stated about her problems. "But you really should come to a festival. They are quite the lovely experience. And I am sure your parents come out of the Fae realm once in a while. They probably just don't tell their subjects, or children every time they do. However, I do enjoy the fact that a subject like you finds coming out of the Fae world a good thing. It allows to to explore things you never imagined. When I was a sapling, as some of the elders would call the young. We would be excited about our trials. The long year we would have to spend out in the real world, fighting for survival. When we would return we'd become a man or a woman. Yet its not the return that I enjoyed on mine, it was the time was was out in the wilds and in other villages I did not know that I had craved for more. Now that i am a rider though, my dream can be true always."
He then put his right arm rested on his right knee and then turned to look at her, resting his left hand against the tree. "You should come with me!" he exclaimed with an epiphany. "You should come see my city. Meet my people, learn a little about our ways. It would be good for you. I think you would like it and I think Emrin would to. What do you say, will you ride with me to Ishen'dar?"

Emrin listening intently to the other dragon before nodding his large head slightly. ”It sounds beautiful, from what you’ve described,” he replied, attempting to imagine it. It was probably very different from the Fae’s realm. All the plants there grew incredibly large, but human standards. His home was with Foxglove, but the place she was born was indeed a wonder to behold, constantly painted in the colors of fall… He was brought to his thoughts as Shamara nuzzled him. He chuckle but it faded when she suddenly licked him. He was quite surprised by the affection. If he were like his rider, he would have been blushing.
Foxglove kept her focus on the elf at her side, head lolled almost lazily over to peer at him as he spoke to her. ”Yes, I’m sure.”
[/b] The Fae was like that most of the time, not wishing to burden people with her own thoughts and problems. She was very independent spirit, though often reminded that she needed to learn to rely on others once in a while. It was just a bit harder for her, considering everything. She smiled as he insisted she should go to the festivals, nodding her head in silent agreement. She really should. From what he described, they were probably a lot of fun, ”I could never stay in one place to long, even as a child. Once I was able to cross planes, there was no stopping me from going out an exploring the world. I have to agree with you, Az. Getting out into the world is probably the best thing I’ve ever done.”[/b] She knew she would have gone stir crazy if she had to spent the rest of her long life trapped in one place like a caged bird. It was something she feared the most and refused to let happen to herself. She focused back on Azlynn’s words. What he said next surprised her. Go with him? To his home? Ride with him to Ishen'dar? She glanced over at her dragon, who seemed to have caught wind of the offer, Emrin staring right back at her. She already knew he’d be eager to go. Brushing a few stray strands of hair back from her face, she looked back to the eager princes before grinning a nodding. ”That sounds like an excellent idea!”[/b] She may not have been packed or prepared, but that has never stopped her before. The more sudden, the better the adventure. ”I would love to come see your home.”[/b][/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]

"Wonderful!" he stated with a smile. "The company would be well appreciated and I am sure you would love the company too."
He leaned back against the tree again and stared at the sky, clearly pleased with himself about the fact that she wanted to go with him and Shamara. He knew that she could learn a lot about the Illuminari and their culture. Azlynn was always one for wanting to share his ways with others. If there was ever an elf to take pride in his people it was Azlynn. Even if the elf didn't want to take charge. Sure his brother could take the thrown, but not even he was up for that yet. So naturally either way it would be one of them some day. However, today won't be that day.
Yet, visiting wouldn't be so bad. He missed his family, his home, his sense of peace. Once again he could sit in long meditation and talk to the tree's and the other plants and animals. It was a way to feel one with the earth and still be a part of the sky at the same time. He cast her a smile and looked back at the sky as hair blew lightly in his face. The clouds passing by swirled and blobbed around, making shapes that caused him to chuckle a bit. It was days like this that gave him a reason to cherish ever moment before it was gone. For once it was, it would never come back.
"I know you will like it there. The tall trees, the sounds of music every day, heh....the smell of sweet bread cooling after its been cooked in the hovel pits." he said with a warm sigh and fidgeted with the bow he had took off his back a bit.
Back over with Shamarah she had grinned at the other dragon. She chuckled at hearing strange growl that came from the dragons lower throat. It was a sound that was close to what a human could compare to an sign of embarrassment. Of course because the dragon's growl was so low, only hear able to only those that had decent hearing. Smirking she stated, "Your adorable when you do that. It looks like you will be joining me after all...."
