She is noted by a majority of people as attractive, but doesn't care what people think of her either way. ~~~~~~~~~~ PERSONALITY Syrena is a very carefree, go with the flow kind of girl. She's relaxed, calm and at ease the majority of the time. That, however, would only be when alone. Whenever she's around other people she gets instantly uncomfortable, distrusting, short tempered and sarcastic. In all honesty she hates being in the company of others, especially if she doesn't know them. It takes a long, long time for her to warm up to anyone, and most don't have the persistence to follow through toward a friendship with her. She has the tendency to lash out at people, and overall a deep hatred for unknown people flows through her. If you manage to stick around though, you've got a friend for life. Syrena is extremely loyal, defending those she knows and loves to the death if necessary. She'll always have your back and will always be there for you. She puts others needs before her own, and is always willing to listen. Syrena also has an extreme sense of bravery and courage that will stretch out to everyone, even those she doesn't know. She won't stand by and let someone suffer, no matter what. Being a Dragon Rider Syrena is, of course, extremely intelligent and knowledgeable. She is very understanding and thoughtful. Be that as it may she can be very impulsive, slightly selfish, arrogant and self centered. She can be aggressive, head strong, pig headed and stubborn. He shares her impulsive nature as well as her passion, and works for the same purpose of peace and safety as she does. He is distrusting of most unknown people, which makes the pair very unsociable around each other. He is easily jealous as well, one of the main reasons Syrena's mouse died in the first place. He is very untolerable when it comes to relationships, and barely allows her own brother within a close proximity of his rider. The two love each other though, and would die for the other. PET: She had an adorable little mouse named Modik, but Pythander accidentally ate it. Now she has a silver little ferret she calls Dime. UNIQUE ITEM: She inherited her family heirloom, a deemed "Blessed Blade" called Zut'aeir. It's a silver blade welded into a blue handle lined with sapphire gems. She has owned it since she was twelve years old. BIRTHPLACE: Unknown, although she suspects it to be a Dragon Keep. HISTORY Syrena Sientori has no recollection of where she was born or who her mother was. She even has no idea where she spent her life years 1 through 7. Her finest and only memory of her early life is the Dragon Keep she was raised in, a large kingdom in the mountains called Salvius. It is the only home she has ever known. Her brother Xester, a kind, smart and strong young man was her best and greatest friend, but he too remembere dnthing of their mother or ealy life. Her father was a brave, strong man named Markis Sientori, the past grandmaster of Salvius. They were a respected family for their high position in the Keep and special connection with dragons. Her father was a rider, he had a giant Ampithere Avian that reached 70 feet where it stood. She was the gentlest soul you would ever meet. She was named Altus, and was the odd hue of rose. Of course, the children adored the dragon. While other youngsters would cower in fear and make themselves small, the giant behemoth began the children's moving playground. When Altus wasn't needed by Markis, she kept the children company. Syrena's early years at Salvius were wonderful and happy. Of course, Syrena and Xester's lives were occupied completely by dragons. They lived with the creatures. They would often sneak to the holding area where Riders would keep their greatest friends and admire the different species, under Altus's protective gaze of course. Even most dragons feared the towering monster. The idea of one day being able to fly with their own dragon was a dream that every boy and girl at Salvius hoped for, yet one that was rarely achieved. Eggs never seemed to hatch, no matter how many people held them at Salvius. So passing Riders would take them on an d carry them to different villages, cities and keeps, and always they would hatch. People became doubtful that their would ever be another Dragon Rider at Salvius, that the grand master would be the last. Up to this time, Markis had kept his children away from the Dragon Eggs. They were forbidden to hold one, go near one, even look at one. It crushed both Xester and Syrena, they longed to ride just as their father. Yet they obeyed, for a long time. Until, that is, Xester turned ten. They had snuck into the "Nursery" as it was Xester's birthday wish. Syrena had agreed, she wanted to touch an egg as badly as Xester did. She didn't get the chance though. The first egg Xester touched, a dark green colored one with light blue splotches, the egg began to crack open. They ran to tell their father, and in eager anticipation waited for the egg to hatch. Three days later Gasputchi entered the world, his rider Xester. Their father was enraged. He didn't want such a life for his children. Yet, nonetheless what was done was done. For a year Gasputchi grew and trained at the Keep, and when he finally grew big enough for Xester to ride, the Rider Order appeared and took them both away to their kingdom, to train them in the ways of a rider. It was a terrible time of grief for Syrena. She would not see him for fifteen years to come. Meanwhile her father became even more enraged with Xester's disobedience after he left. He covered his grief with rage, directing it at Syrena and warning her that if she ever dared set foot into the Nursery, it would be her end. Syrena spent most of her time with Altus after that, she loved the dragon. Altus disliked Markis and his threats, and would spend more time with Syrena trying to comfort the girl. That, more than anything, drove Markis over the edge. He seemed to lose it completely, and Syrena suffered dearly for it. Her once brave and noble father became a madman. So no one could blame her when she wanted escape. She, like Xester, snuck into the nursery. Yet, it seemed that no matter how many eggs she touched, non would crack. Every feeling of hope she had built up inside crumbled to nothingness. The eggs did not want her. Did not need her the way she needed them. She was about to leave when her father appeared. Syrena was badly beaten, abused after that. It was Altus that saved her an early death. That was when Syrena changed from the happy, sweet girl into a vicious, antisocial and aggressive person. She lost all appeal for dragons, even becoming enraged at Altus. Life was miserable for two more years, until Syrena would turn Twelve. A passing rider was in a hurry, and had entrusted her to give a black colored egg with grey stripes to her father. She had taken it wordlessly, uncaring. She had given up hope. She was reaching her fathers study when she heard it. A crack. Syrena became elated, reaching a joy she did not know she had inside. She hid the egg in her room, not even telling Altus. And then the egg hatched. Pythander entered the world, and turned Syrena's gloomy world into an unseen beauty. Her father took the news wordlessly. The next day, Altus and Markis had disappeared. Syrena would never see him or the pink dragon again. She missed Altus, but she couldn't bring herself to be remorseful about her father. A few days later the Rider Order arrived. They placed a new grand master in charge and left with Syrena and Pythander on the back of the rider's dragon. The man, named Thyrathio Alastore, would become Syrena's mentor. When she arrived she was disappointed to find that her brother had been transferred to a far off Keep, known as Liviticus, to serve under a mentor that held residence at the keep. However, she quickly became focused on another, more important factor. Pythander. The little tyke was Syrena's pride, joy and happiness. She adored the little guy, and the two grew a close bond instantly. They became notorious for pranks around the Order, however the pair was still highly adored by the majority. When Syrena taught Pythander to fly, nearly the entire Order came down to see it happen. It was also around the time that Thyrathio would be assigned to mentor her. He was a blunt, hard and serious man with an ever more serious dragon. Veestala was a fiery orange dragon with a vicious attitude. Syrena often found herself saving little Pythander from the wrath of the older dragon. However, the two became efficient warriors and fliers, excelling under the constant pressure to do better, fly straighter, be more daring, think more serious. They proudly became Rider and Dragon, Apprentice and Hatchling no more. The assignment of a Domari, assassin, was a shock to the both of them. The pair disliked the thought of taking anothers life. Yet if it was to keep the peace, it couldn't be that bad, could it? The first assassination went flawlessly, and the two continued with the job. They became feared and respected throughout the order, yet they couldn't understand why. They were still the same, still Syrena and Pythander. They were just tasked with the burden of keeping the peace. The pair soon learned not to think about what they did, and merely accept the fact that it had to be done. Syrena also met her brother once more at age Eighteen, and extremely happy time for them all. Pythander and Gasputchi got along famously, and the siblings were never happier. Duty called of course, yet the two still tried to see each other. Now Syrena and Pythander continue to live out their lives as Dragon and Rider, completing the tasks the Order assigns for them to "take care of" but always wondering why. ~~~~~~~~~~ ROLE PLAY SAMPLE: Usually, their were few things Syrena liked more than being with Pythander. Now, she was more or less infuriated with the large black dragon that stomped after her as she stalked off in her own direction. For the fourth time the pair had failed their assessment, and Syrena was getting more and more stressed. At first the general anger had been toward the Council at their refusal to allow them to pass when so many others with lesser ability had breezed by. Thyrathio had been unfazed as well, and that had really set the two over the edge. He was their mentor for goodness sakes, and once again they had failed miserably under his instruction. Heated argument after heated argument would take place and they would still never advance. So now, after yet another fail, Syrena was certain that the problem was Pyth. The sun had turned a violent red as it set, casting it's bloody appearance over what was just a few hours before a clear, inviting and promising azure sky. Her arms were crossed as she walked, dark brown wavy hair lifting gently with the breeze that struggled to lift the heavier part of her hair where her medium sized side braid sat. The rest of her hair stretched down toward her back, fanned out elegantly in a natural way many would try to copy and fail. Her royal blue eyes were narrowed ------------------------------------------------- {/style}[style=font-family:times; font-size:10; color:fff; text-transform:uppercase; width:350px; text-align:justify;] THE PLAYER BEHIND THIS WONDERFUL CHARACTER IS BRAVE AND IS FOURTEEN.
